About Our President – Lori T. Williams 

In her fourteen years practicing family and divorce law, Lori T. Williams had ample opportunity to see the results achieved by worthy attorneys, and those of attorneys who represented their clients poorly.  She also realized that she was far more inspired by bringing people together than by taking families apart.

In 2004, Lori established Your Legal Resource, a referral service committed to providing reputable legal services to the public by connecting people with trustworthy, honest attorneys across the spectrum of legal specialties.

Lori earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Michigan State University and her Juris Doctor from the Detroit College of Law. She was a full partner in the general practice Law Firm of Ahles & Tollefson, P.C. until 1994, when she began specializing in family law through Lori T. Williams, P.C.  Her focus shifted from the practice of law to the business of law with the establishment of Your Legal Resource.

Lori is an active member of the State Bar of Michigan and the Royal Oak Chamber of Commerce. She was named the 2005 Mentor of the Year by the Metro Detroit Chapter of the National Association of Career Women (NACW), where she served as membership director for three years.

Lori is also an advisory board member for SmartWomensCoaching.com and a Contributing Expert for the Smart Women’s Café and Idea Lab, as well as a Coach for the Great Lakes Entrepreneurial Quest Business Plan Competition.
