Terms of Service

Terms of Service and Disclaimers:

Your Legal Resource is a Michigan legal referral service, focused on assisting Michigan residents and Michigan based businesses with their legal issues. We do that by referring our clients to Michigan lawyers we personally know and trust who have experience in the area of law our clients are asking about.
This website content belongs to Your Legal Resource, PLLC (which may also be referred to herein as Your Legal Resource). The information contained on this site is not legal advice. Your use of the information on this site does not create an attorney client relationship with Your Legal Resource, PLLC or its attorneys. The information provided on this site is merely a resource. Laws may change, sometimes rapidly, and it is important to learn how the latest laws impact you and your situation. That is why we refer you to attorneys who handle the types of legal matters you are asking about and/or need help with when you contact us.

When you inquire about our legal referral services, you provide information to us so that we may determine if one or more of our affiliated law firms may be able to assist you and/or represent you. When you complete an initial phone consultation with an attorney at Your Legal Resource, that communication creates an attorney client relationship and we will keep the information confidential, only sharing pertinent details of that consultation with the attorney(s) we refer your case or legal matter to. You consent to this sharing of information with our affiliated attorneys in other law firms by virtue of using our referral services. (For more information about our privacy policy and your rights, visit the privacy policy.

At the point at which you consult with and/or retain a lawyer or law firm (whether or not we refer to you them), you begin the attorney client relationship with that attorney/law firm. Your Legal Resource is not responsible for the legal advice other attorneys may provide you, whether or not we refer you to them. While we refer clients to experienced attorneys who are licensed in Michigan, who we have worked with for many years on a referral basis, we cannot guarantee anyone’s legal work or legal advice. Each client’s case or legal issue is unique and a variety of factors can impact the outcome. Our goal is to guide you to an attorney experienced in the area of law you need help with, and who may be willing and able to represent you. However, you are under no obligation to hire any attorney we may refer you to. Similarly, the attorney(s)/law firms we refer you to are under no obligation to accept you as a client. They may have their own lawful reasons for declining a case such as high work load at that time, otherwise unavailable at that time, merits of the case, choose not to handle your particular legal issue, personality incompatibility, etc. Our referral service is free to the client and we earn a referral free from the attorneys we refer our clients to, if and when the client hires that attorney or law firm.
It is our desire to assist our Michigan clients and potential clients with legal referrals as often as needed, since we cover all areas of law, and we welcome your referrals too. There is never a fee for a consultation with Your Legal Resource.
